Senior Vice President of Lending and Credit

Cayuga Lake National Bank Union Springs, NY

Located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of Central New York we are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Level credit officer to become part of a new management team.
 
General Functions
  • Will become part of a new management team.
  • This team is tasked with moving the bank forward toward its strategic goal of becoming the preeminent local bank within its market.
  • The team is also tasked with expanding market reach in this era of a most demanding and evolving financial services industry whereby our local competitors are not our only competition.
  • One important and exciting aspect is that you will have the unique opportunity to build the team necessary to accomplish the established goals for this important division within the bank, from the ground up.
  • Will have regular interaction with the Board of Directors at monthly meetings tasked with reporting progress toward established goals as to growth and quality of the credit portfolio.
  • The development of new, innovative products and services, with specific attention to solicitation of business via commercial and agriculture lenders.
Educational Background
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or Finance.
  • Must have completed further schooling associated with expanding knowledge in the field of lending.
Experience
  • Resume should display a knowledge of all aspects of a commercial banks lending products and the necessary support structure such as credit administration, loan review, regulatory compliance and large credit loan analysis.
  • Resume must indicate a banking career which displays a progression of increased and varied responsibilities within banking organizations where applicant has previously worked.
Special Skills or Requirements
  • Must have strong interpersonal and managerial skills.
  • Must be a motivated and driven self-starter.
  • Must have proven leadership skills.

Retail Lender

Education:
  • An Associates degree in a related field normally required; specialized banking education and training.  Must have completed further schooling associated with expanding knowledge in the field of lending.
Experience:
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in related positions normally required.  Resume should display a knowledge of commercial banks lending products and the necessary support structure such as credit administration, loan review, and regulatory compliance.
  • Resume should indicate a banking career which displays a progression of increased and varied responsibilities within banking organizations where applicant has previously worked.
Skill(s):
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations, communicative, and sales skills, proficient PC skills; visual and auditory skills.
  • Must be a motivated and driven self-starter.
Duties:
  • Underwrite 1-4 family home equity loans, in addition to consumer loans.
  • Solicit new business from present and prospective customers; maintains ongoing business relationships with present customers in order to take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank consumer products and services in order to ascertain customer needs and to sell in conjunction with these needs.
